JLE was contracted by OTML to provide resources for the main construction phase of the Mine Crusher Relocation Project at its mine in the remote Western Province of PNG. The project consisted of a new gyratory crusher (one of the largest of its type in the world), a screening circuit, crushed ore stockpile and mill stockpile feed. The Project peaked at 900 staff working around the clock. Collaborating with OTML and local contractors JLE provided 50+ direct onsite specialist resources consisting of expatriate and nationals from New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines. JLEs core scope was that of the Electrical Construction delivery and expanded to provide senior construction personnel as well as Project Engineering, Quality Assurance, Mechanical, Welding and Commissioning people.
