Project Description
JLE was contracted by IMG to carry out the electrical and instrumentation installation works for a new dewatering plant at the Vale Nickel Mine in New Caledonia. The project site is situated some 1.5 hours drive south of Noumea in a remote part of New Caledonia and the installation works were completed in a very compressed timeframe due to the urgent requirement to have the dewatering plant commissioned. JLE delivered this project using a mix of labor from NZ and New Caledonia. Project management, supervision, and key electrical resources were supplied from our own employee resources and they were supplemented by electricians
and laborers sourced from partner companies in Noumea. JLE completed the 10,000 man hour project without any medical or lost time incidents.
