Due to our continual growth, JLE is always looking for experienced staff to join us. We offer excellent working conditions to our employees creating a climate for all to reach their potential.

We encourage staff from our own ranks to push themselves whether it be applying for promotions or gaining technical qualifications.

We need staff that are NZ registered or are eligible to attain NZ registration. A strong work ethic, a willingness to meet new challenges, good communication skills and being willing to mix with workmates from all corners of the globe are the minimum requirements.

JLE  have assessed all staff competencies and developed and mapped a career progression matrix. From this every staff member knows what they have to achieve to progress to the next level of competency.

Apprenticeships

Each branch of JLE take on 1-2 apprentices per year, These may range from a school leaver to adult apprentices who wish to change career.

New/Intending Immigrants

JLE are accredited with the “Talent and Skills” scheme with the New Zealand Immigration Service and can meet the criteria of section WR1.25 allowing us to recruit workers from off shore.

Tradespeople

JLE is continually seeking qualified tradespeople to meet the increasing workload. Preference for tradespeople is to be from an industrial background either being in maintenance or contracting. JLE Electrical are always looking for tradespeople with strong project manager or project supervisor skills and experience.

Instrumentation Technicians

JLE are heavily involved in the Dairy and Petrochemical Industries we need staff with the experience and qualifications to work in these industries EST A and EST B are a definite advantage, both industries have requirements for Instrumentation Technicians to work on 400v equipment.

Automation

JLE has an ongoing need for, experienced automation engineers. Experience with Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, Siemans, Omron, Modicon, Telemecanique, B & R, TI, Mitsubishi or ABB is of benefit. DCS experience would also be an advantage.
