Solid Energy Stockton Coal Mine Processing Plant

JLE Electrical was chosen to undertake this project above others based on its quality, HSE and project management experience.

The project was the construction of a $120,000,000.00 coal processing plant at New Zealand’s largest coal mine on the Stockton Plateau in Westland. The project duration was very short, with extreme weather conditions due to it’s location at 803 meters' above sea level.

This posed significant logistical challenges due to remoteness, 8-10 me-ters' of rain per annum and heavy snowfalls during winter. JLE met all project delivery require-ments and expectations. With our ongoing commitment to safety, JLE delivered 140,000 man hours on this project with zero LTI’s and MTI’s.
