HFO Tank Refurbishment
JLE was contracted by Walz Construction to provide eight specialist Filipino tank welders for the
refurbishment of Newcrest Mining’s 15 million litre HFO tank at its gold mining operation in Lihir
Island, PNG. The scope of repair included a replacement floor, new top strake sections, new roof structure and new roof plates. The Filipino welders provided are employees of JLE through our PNG entity.
