As part of the New Zealand Steel Mining Limited, Taharoa iron sand mine, site water management system, the water from the southern slurry is to be returned to the SSP process water ponds. The pump station will deliver water to the SSP via two 500OD HDPE return water lines.
Mechanically, 3 x Warman 12/10 G AH 400kW ZV drive pump sets will be pontoon based to deliver the required water flow rate.
This electrical scope of work is to provide power to this new infrastructure. Portable Localised RMU and transformer connecting to 11kV network, portable Switchroom, control system, instrumentation and integration into existing site automation providing a commissioned and operational pumping station.
